Set during a period of radical social change beginning in mid-2015, American’t follows the struggles of three individuals from different backgrounds as they face growing hostility and rejection toward those deemed “different.” Fueled by the divisive rhetoric of politicians, media, and influencers, the film weaves their stories of resistance against fear, hatred, and prejudice in an increasingly divided society.
