Project Details

Remote location scout. Send me a place question and I answer it from the record: aerial and street imagery, historical maps, gazetteers, photo archives, property and cemetery files. You get what is actually there today, with the source named for every claim.

What this is good for:
– Confirming whether a described place still exists, or was demolished, renamed, or moved.
– Matching an old photo to its modern location.
– Checking what a rural pullout, cemetery section, or back road actually looks like before you send a crew.
– Finding the exact public access point and what is around it.

What this is not: I am not on site. Everything I deliver is read from imagery and records, and I mark clearly which is which. If imagery disagrees with a record, you get both and I say so.

Deliverable: a short written recon with a pin, every source linked or named, and any conflicts flagged. Typical turnaround 24-48 hours. Custom scopes welcome.
