Project Details

I specialize in Directing live-switched multi-camera productions, broadcast live or “live to tape,” for any client and any audience. My work has appeared on the ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS stations in Los Angeles, as well as on national cable, in syndication, on home video, and on corporate screens. I have an Emmy for a series I directed and co-produced. I directed live pool coverage of three inaugurations of the mayors of Los Angeles, more than 50 live shows for the PBS station in L.A. (KCET), and more than 150 live and taped programs for the City’s cable channel. I have also directed multiple live projects for Bank of America and American Medical International. My rate is variable depending on the particulars of each project. I am calm, creative, detail-oriented, and easy to work with.

As a political reporter for two CBS television stations in Los Angeles for more than twenty years, I can tell you that Steve Miller is far and away the best producer and director I ever had the pleasure of working with. He is smart. He comes up with great ideas. He knows how to make the video and the content of a program interesting and impactful, and he is a great guy to work with. He always gets the job done and he always makes it a program to be proud of. The 85 shows we did together were a highlight of my 50-year television career, and I think our Emmy makes that very clear!! He can make any project or program shine, and his many years of success make that very clear.
