My name is Sarah Devlin and I hope to join the Blare Media team as an Assistant Director, Production Coordinator, or similar role at the San Jose branch. Blare Media produces quality work and it would be highly rewarding to be a part of your projects.

I have on-set experience from when I was earning my master’s degree. I enjoyed my work as Assistant Director and Director on the short films that my team and I produced. Planning each project and keeping productions organized came naturally to me and I found the work to be immensely fulfilling. I appreciate projects that require a great deal of teamwork, planning, creative problem-solving, organization, and artistic expression. Being organized helped each project run smoothly and facilitated each team member’s creativity.

After I graduated, I worked for a small production company in Los Angeles: Family Theater Productions. As my work was part-time, I also worked for Believe Entertainment. For both production companies I was a script reader and story analyst from 2015 to 2019. I was in charge of assessing the quality of the scripts we received and evaluating the production value of each piece. My undergraduate work was a double major in English and Theatre, so the work was in line with my training. In my subsequent jobs, organization and management skills were key. At AJ Tutoring, I managed a team of tutors and trained them on how to manage their client base – which required organizing the lesson plans for 30 to 40 students each week. At Biggs Cardosa, my current employer, I coordinate multiple teams so that our proposals meet all necessary requirements and are delivered to prospective clients on time. My best work is done in support of a team’s vision: I have over a decade of experience in helping filmmakers, studios, students, engineers, and marketing professionals achieve their goals. I hope to bring my experience to the Blare Media team so that I may work in the field I most appreciate.
