Johnson Controls Shanghai HQ: China’s Greenest Building

This 3-year documentary project captured the construction and innovation behind Johnson Controls‘ Asia Pacific Headquarters in Shanghai. It is one of the most advanced and sustainable commercial buildings in the world.
Built as a hub for collaboration and innovation in the region, the building was:
-The first in China to receive LEED Platinum, EDGE, and China 3-Star Green Building certifications
-Designed by Gensler to optimize employee well-being and operational efficiency
-Awarded the AD100 Most Popular Public Architecture in China (2019)
My role:
-Produced the entire project, hiring videographers, edited the final documentary fusing narrative, motion graphics, and long-term visual documentation
-Deployed and managed 7 time-lapse camera systems over 2.5 years.
-Directed on-site drone cinematography
-Conducted and filmed interviews with top regional leaders
