Part of Tri-C’s Film Intensive Workshop, the film drops the audience into a tense standoff in a WWII café in occupied France. The time is WWII in Nazi occupied France. Trained by Britain’s Special Operations Executive (SOE) spy division, a trained British female spy and her fellow agents use a small cafe as their headquarters. Their cafe becomes a trap as a Nazi officer begins to suspect who they really are. With the themes of a Western and a limited budget, I wanted to bring this tense, heroic story of the women spies that fought back in WWII to audiences. The Resistance has screened and won awards in several film festivals including for Directing, Screenplay, Drama, Editing, Best Actress, Cinematography, Score, and Sound Design in the Paris Film Awards.
