Jaskiran Singh is a digital creator originally from Saint Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Saint Louis University in May 2020 with a major in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism & Media and with two minors in Visual Communication and in Film Studies.
Currently, Jaskiran is Freelancing as a video editor/producer for companies like Creatives On Call and 178 Blank Productions. She edits short films and creates short-form media like Tiktoks and Instagram Reels. Jaskiran’s aspirations in life are to help people visually and digitally tell their stories and share their experiences through outlets like film, video, photography, and graphic design. Showing, sharing, and amplifying diverse stories is a big mission of hers.
In the past Jaskiran has interned at National Geographic as the Mobile Storytelling (Video) Intern where she worked closely with Nat Geo photographers, video producers, and text editors to edit and produce Instagram stories for 115 million followers. Jaskiran has also made content like videos, articles, Instagram stories, and TikToks for SLU MarComm, SLU Housing, and Res Life, Billiken Athletics, and SLU Computer Science as a content creator for four years while attending Saint Louis University.
In 2019, she received the Dan Kelly Award/Scholarship in Broadcast/Electronic Journalism through the SLU Communication Department. In 2020, she received the Bea-On-Location Creative Award of Excellence in Student Documentary for her film “Visual Letters.”
