Video Editor
About
I am an award-winning video editor with years of experience in feature films, commercials, and live events. Proven expertise in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, with a strong background in storytelling, SEO, and content creation. Dedicated to producing compelling visual content that drives engagement and enhances brand storytelling.
I began making short films in 2006 when my father bought me a camera and a desktop computer to create short videos which were screened weekly at our church. Since childhood, I have received praise for writing assignments from teachers, theater directors, and professors, with one of my professors describing my essay on the future of CGI in Hollywood films as,
“publishable”. Soon after, that essay was published as a series of articles on MovieWeb.com. My debut article on MovieWeb was the #5 most read article on the website on the day of its publication. My next 40+ articles received praise from editors and fellow writers for going above and beyond the clickbait format with thorough analyses of film history. One of my short films won the top prize of, “Best Overall” in a company-wide national competition at Cinemark Theatres and another played at the Seattle horror short film festival, The Nightmare Emporium. One of my film essays was published in Una Voce magazine (2019) for Tacoma Community College—where I received an Associate in Arts with High Honors in 2021. In 2022, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications at University of Washington Tacoma.
At Hemisphere Design & Marketing, I have continued to craft stories in multiple mediums, writing SEO pages that tell a compelling narrative, creating social media posts and email marketing content, updating websites, launching marketing campaigns, capturing commercial photography, and being instrumental in the creation of commercials and video content for online, television, radio, and movie theater audiences. The culmination of these efforts led to my work as an editor on the feature-length documentary chronicling the history of the global Harm Reduction movement, Never Perfect Never Over: An Unauthorized History of Harm Reduction (2024).
In my years of volunteering, I served as a curator, introducer, and projectionist for weekly cinema screenings at Galaxy Gig Harbor and Century Point Ruston and as a foster in the Feline Foster Program for the Humane Society For Tacoma & Pierce County. In my free time, the only thing I love more than hiking and road trips with my partner and rescue dog is pursuing my lifelong “education” of watching as many movies as humanly possible.
