Norcross Camera Operator
About
I graduated in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Multimedia from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am currently pursuing a degree in Game Design at SCAD.
My studies and experience have made me detail-oriented, organized, and a problem solver. During my education at UAB I studied filmmaking and animation. I created animations and live-action short films, which required attention to detail and the ability to predict problems or obstacles and overcome them. I am proficient in the use of film equipment, steady cameras, steady trackers, jibs, sliders, green screen technology, and video editing programs such as Adobe’s Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X. I was the founding president of the UAB Film Club which gave students a place to find assistance with their film projects and share their knowledge of filmmaking. As the president of this club, I scheduled meetings, organized meeting agendas, and supported club members with their film and media projects. I also assisted Professor Ron Hubbard in teaching all of his film classes and filmed theater plays for the UAB department of theater. When filming theater plays I used a multi camera set up and edited multi camera footage together.
I have worked at Hi-Rez Studios as an E-sports assistant broadcasting producer. I operated the Smite spectator for Smite Season 4 Pro League, Smite Season 4 Console League, and for Smite Dreamhack Brazil 2017. I also took photographs of pro-players, recorded interviews, operated camera equipment for live broadcast, prepared digital assets for broadcast, and prepared sets for live broadcast. Afterwards I moved to the Paladins Global Series team where I created match highlight videos and operated the Paladins spectator.
