As an independent Producer, Director, Editor, and Technical Director based in the San Francisco area since 1981, I have had the privilege of working on many interesting projects with some exceptionally talented people, as well as the great pleasure of winning a National Emmy Award.
Along the way I have also had many opportunities to teach editors and technical directors all over the world, to work with software and hardware designers and engineers to develop new, or improve existing, products and tools for the film/video production industry, and to produce, direct and/or edit compelling and effective videos.
Developing/conducting technical demonstrations/seminars in more than 22 countries on 5 continents, and teaching production to seventh, eighth, and ninth graders, as well as graduate students, although not at the same time, has been, and is, a genuine pleasure.
Through it all, I have never lost my passion to take a good story and, using pictures and sound, tell it well.
That is what I attempt in my work, no matter the genre, medium, or final audience. And I think, and certainly hope, most of the time, I succeed.
