Minimum Wage

My second documentary project I focused on the “Great Resignation” by talking to employees and management at a small local movie theater. Part of the agreement that allowed me to talk to these individuals and record while they were working was I was only allowed to bring in a camera and a tripod. That posed a particular lighting challenge. I also wanted to make the audience feel like we were on the clock with them, so there are many quite moments that I decided to leave in during the editing process. A decision that, as I look back on, I am proud of.
