I am a senior at San Diego State University, graduating in May with a B.S. in Film Production and a B.A. in Sustainability. Since October 2023, I have worked at KPBS as a Production Assistant, contributing to daily news broadcasts by supporting multiple stages of the production process. In this role, I edit news packages using Adobe Premiere Pro, review and prepare video clips for on-air use, floor direct live newscasts, operate the teleprompter for anchors, and assist with station events and special programming beyond daily coverage. This position has strengthened my technical skills, adaptability, and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

From January to May 2025, I studied abroad in Lisbon, Portugal through the School for International Training, focusing on sustainability and environmental justice. During this semester, I completed an independent study project that culminated in a self-produced documentary exploring how studying abroad influences perspectives on sustainability. I led all aspects of the project, including concept development, filming, interviewing, and editing, demonstrating strong independent storytelling, research, and documentary filmmaking skills.

Earlier in my academic career, I interned at RedBlock Video from January to May 2023, where I edited video content and promotional materials using Adobe Premiere Pro. I collaborated closely with an advisor to develop and produce a documentary short film throughout the internship, gaining hands-on experience in storytelling, post-production workflows, and incorporating creative feedback. I also supported additional production tasks as needed, contributing to a deeper understanding of professional film and post-production processes.

Across my academic and professional experiences, I have developed strong technical and creative abilities, including proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; hands-on experience with RED Komodo, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Sony FS7, and Canon C300; experience serving as Director, Producer, and Director of Photography on both narrative and documentary projects; training in Ross OverDrive automated production systems; and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. I bring strong interpersonal communication skills, thrive in collaborative, team-based production environments, and am a confident leader with experience guiding crews through all phases of production.
