"I am a recent graduate from Fresno State with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Film & Media. I have worked in social media marketing for about seven years now, beginning as a volunteer at a music and arts festival in Visalia, CA. This opportunity not only created my newfound social media skills but cemented my love for the culture in the Central Valley. For the past two years, I’ve worked as Social Media Director for the student-run newspaper at Fresno State, The Collegian. Here, I ran around the newsroom posting content on all social media platforms, took pictures, shot and edited short-form videos, and constantly brainstormed new ideas with my favorite co-workers. I also currently work as an Audience and Social Media Intern for Fresnoland, a local nonprofit news organization. I develop daily content on our social media pages that promote our groundbreaking news coverage on Fresno. I was involved in multiple student organizations on campus that related to my degree in marketing. One of my favorite roles was being President of the Fresno Film Collective, a new film club at Fresno State that I founded and ran for my last…" Read more about Alexa Barraza…
