Dallas Director

About

Born in Montreal, her origins are a melting pot of cultures from Greek to Turkish to Haitian. As a teen, she wrote 30 feature screenplays, which served as a practice run until she was old enough to study screenwriting at the university. After graduating, her goal was clear: gather as much cinematographic experience as possible to become a film director. Consequently, Natasha worked as an actor, assistant to producer, first assistant director, script supervisor, production coordinator, script doctor, and much more.

For BBR Productions, a renowned Montreal-based film production company specializing in dramatic broadcast media, Natasha worked on EMOTIONAL ARITHMETIC (Susan Sarandon, Max Von Sydown, Gabriel Byrne, Christopher Plummer, and Roy Dupuis); PAST LIVES (reality TV Series); WUSHU WARRIOR, directed by Alain Desrochers (Matt Frewer, Todd Fennell, Amber Goldfarb); ENTER THE VOID, directed by Gaspar NoƩ (Paz de la Huerta); THE DEVIL WITHIN (documentary).

Her first short SOLITUDE was screened in more than 6 national and international film festivals including Rhode Island International Film Festival and Brno 16 Film Festival. Her short COMPULSION 1897 was screened at such festivals as the 2009 Delray Beach Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand Film Market, and Cannes’ Short Film Corner. Natasha wrote and directed EMPTY CALORIES, winner of a WorldFest Houston Film Festival Bronze Remi Award and MARGARITAS ON THE ROAD, her second short sponsored by Cirque du Soleil. She won the Chick Flicks Promo Script Contest with the screenplay DON’T HAVE TO BE A CHICK TO ENJOY CHICK FLICKS. Her 2017 Dallas 48-hour film festival entry, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMEONE BLUE, won Best Film, Best Writing, and Best Cinematography, and will screen in Paris, France.

So far, Natasha has worked as a writer/script doctor on more than 20 films, as a first assistant director in more than 12, produced more than 15, and directed over 10. Her short films have been screened in 18 various national and international film festivals. Loving every aspect of the film industry, she created the FILM FESTIVAL WITH A TWIST in Montreal in 2003, and as a board member of Women In Films Dallas (2012-2013) worked on helping others to fulfill their dreams as well.
