Both an accomplished performer and director, Joel relocated from New York to establish StageWorks Fresno in 2010, where he served for ten years as producing Artistic Director. While there he brought to the stage everything from [title of show] to Les Miserables. From The Mountaintop to The Book of Will. Regional performance credits include Next to Normal (Dan), La Cage Aux Folles (Zsa Zsa) Guys and Dolls (Nicely Nicely) as well as many others. Mr. Abels is a proud member of AEA.
