Seattle Camera Operator
About
I am a freelance videographer and editor based in Seattle, WA. A majority of my work is producing doc-style promotional and educational content for tech companies, small businesses and non-profits around the Pacific Northwest. I also frequently shoot events, music videos and fundraising videos, but am open for other types of videography as well.
I received a degree in documentary film from Western Washington University. While documentary is my passion, I’ve worked as a camera assistant and first AC on larger commercial shoots for companies like AT&T and Dunn Lumber. I also have extensive experience as a PA and Grip on both commercial and narrative projects.
In traditional doc-style, I’m extremely comfortable working as either a one-person band or on a very small crew. I often wear multiple hats if a project calls for it and am comfortable adapting my roll on set to fit the needs of a project.
Recently, I have begun producing more short-form content for clients’ social media pages. This often involves animated text, extremely short turn around times, and reformatting videos to fit multiple platforms such as IGTV or Instagram Stories.
In 2020, I’m looking forward to collaborating with other filmmakers and working with larger agencies.

Austin is an awesome DP/ camera operator. Reliable, dependable, and always kept a clear line of communication to make sure the right shots were being captured for the edit. Kind and courteous with the client, as well. I would work with him again, and recommend him for your next project.
