Space for Arts is the premier online marketplace for the professional production community, linking photo production professionals with available studio sites for photo/video shoots. Inspired by the sharing economy, and such well known platforms as Airbnb, SfA has been established as a resource tool; for studio owners to promote their available space, and for photo industry production professionals to quickly search, discover, place “Holds” and book studios for professional photo/video shoots.

We vet all studios listed on the platform and require the descriptive information that is needed for decision making by the professional market we serve.  Our patent pending “Booking System” has been designed specifically for the unique and well established booking process and practice of professional production, dealing with Holds and Challenges.

There are no sign-up fees or monthly costs for Space For Arts. We market our studio listings through digital advertising, social media, photo industry events, and by contacting photo production professionals directly. Regular bookings are taking place on the platform from clients including; InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, People, The New York Times, Vogue, Showtime, NBC Universal, Urban Outfitters and UNTUCKit.

We launched our marketplace in metro NYC and Los Angeles and after a high level of interest, are now expanding into key markets around North America and in Europe. We have studios listed in our community including; Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, San Diego, Denver, Boston, Dallas, Berlin and London.

We are committed to supporting and giving back to the photo community and are always looking for ways to partner with leaders in the industry (like ASMP, APA, LeBook, Society of Publication Designers, Art of Freelance to name a few) in order to host talks, workshops and colloquis.  We are collaborating to bring well-known industry professionals and thought leaders to lead discussions and when possible, to host them in studios listed on the SfA platform to showcase the space.
