This was one of a series of commercials that was a joy to provide location sound for. Mixing humor with a message is always a fun time! The challenge was to achieve effective mic placement while hiding the microphone in costumes as well as capturing some low volume sound from the off camera talent.
I provided location sound for this documentary for Methodist Hospital about a doctor who lost the use of his legs after an accident. With cutting edge technology and the will to overcome all obstacles, he is once again practicing medicine. I completely enjoyed helping to tell his story and capture the environments and narrative that were necessary to tell his story.
This commercial was shot in many different locations, both interior and exterior. It was my pleasure to ensure that all the location sound was as consistent and of the highest quality as possible. I use the best equipment that is well maintained and of course, microphone placement is vitally important!
The plan was simple: a big truck and trailer with Shiner/Magellan branding would roll up, and everyone would be treated to some amazing giveaways, including Shiner beer. This short-form documentary film was produced for three triathletes who competed in a national triathlon competition in Dallas, TX. We followed the three triathletes for three days as they competed in several different types of events, trained for these events, and captured some footage of them hanging out around the house they rented for the events. This was a promotional video for a local dance studio where we interviewed 10 different dance students/instructors, filmed b-roll of rehearsal, and a 45-minute live performance that they put on for an audience at the end of the evening. It ended up being mostly narrative-driven, with the focus being more on the impact that dance has had on some of the studios, rather than promoting the studio directly.
This was a video produced for an airport staffing company based out of Dallas. They staff airports all around the country and were looking to capture footage of their operations with the goal of revamping their website.
