For this project I operated both as the DP and because I have a relationship with the client, the Director.I used colored filters specially made for black and white photography to change the contrast and characteristics of the monochromatic image once it becomes de-saturated in post. This is an older technique used by earlier black and white photographers of the 20th century. Editing involved included sky replacements, masking, patching, motion tracking, and grading.

A spec ad made for a tea company that exists as part of an upcoming TV series called "Beall, Buch, and Kandell" about a magical detecting agency. I was the DP and the colorist on this project. Annika deGroot, the writer and director is also the producer of the TV series, wrote and directed this spot. Shot on Red, Graded in Assimilate Scratch.
