I am a multimedia journalist and storyteller with experience in sports broadcast, education and social media management.
My career started off in the film industry. I worked in the camera department on feature films. I then moved to broadcast journalism. I worked for WGNO-TV in New Orleans, where I not only created news packages in the fast paced newsroom environment, I also produced teaser videos and sizzle reels for the station’s award winning “Friday Night Football.”
I have worked creating social media content for Phoenix Business Journal, Alliance Bank, Launch Realtor and others.
Most recently I have been a TV Production teacher. I have taught Sports Journalism, TV Production, and Digital Media at the college and high school level.
While at Willow Canyon High School I developed DSB Live. Dysart Student Broadcast is a district wide multimedia broadcast program that teaches kids how to do multi-camera live shoots for their high school sports. I was named the Dysart Hero Award recipient last year.
I also was the on-site social media manager for my school. I used hootsuite to manage the social media calendar for the school and also created photos and video content for their website.
I am experienced with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects and lightroom. I am also experienced in Hootsuite and am a skilled camera operator and editor.
