I studied the Bachelor of Arts in Film at Columbia College Chicago, and graduated With Honors in 2007.
At the age of 27, I premiered my first feature film, Elvira, at the Morelia International Film Festival. This documentary was in competition and in special screenings at other film festivals in Mexico, New York City, Los Angeles, Nantes, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Chicago, New Delhi and Madrid.
I’ve written, directed and produced several short films, both fiction and documentary, that have been selected and won awards in various film festivals around the world. In 2018, I produced and directed an original series titled, Guardia-Garcia. A crime, drama and psychological thriller. I was the creator and showrunner of the series. It’s available to stream on Prime Video Latin America. I have worked as a freelance screenwriter for several production companies in Mexico, working in both TV series and feature films. The clients varied from Disney Plus to Max.
This year, I will release my first narrative feature film, titled Adentro, which was an Official Selection at the IFFI 2023 International Film Festival of India, Goa. One of the most competitive Class A festivals in the world. The film is a complex psychological drama combined with suspense.
I have also created, developed and directed several videos in various formats such as: commercial, corporate, cultural and educational.
