Hello there!

My name is Lucas Salm-Rojo, I am a Director of Photography based in Seattle and New York. I had a very good run as a film student winning quite a few awards before moving to the professional world where I currently reside. I have experience in documentary, music video, and commercial production.

I find it very important to create coherent visual characteristics that help motivate a story along, whether that be the story of a company, band/musician, or the stories concocted by a screenwriter. Using different sorts of techniques to create either clean or dirty images, sharper, stronger, or more subdued image characteristics, as well as acknowledging when it is appropriate to use these techniques are a very important aspect of every production.

All my experience and philosophies come from actual productions in which I have been fortunate enough to gain comprehensive knowledge of all the top of the line equipment available to cinematographers today. As well as being technically knowledgeable I have the skills to lead a camera department through a production with all the communication and crew members come with it.
